Creative Arts Gallery
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students in grades Prek - 12th are welcome to submit artistic entries in our annual CAL-ED Creative Arts Gallery. All submitted work will be on display at the 2013 CAL-ED Conference in Marina Del Rey, California, March 8th-10th.
Students may enter one piece of art work in each of the following categories:
*Literature (poetry, prose, short stories)
*Photography (Prints up to 11 x 14; black and white; color) (Grades 7-12 only)
*Visual Arts (drawing, painting, mosaic, sculpture, print making)
Awards will be given in the following age brackets:
Pre/k - 2nd
3rd - 6th
7th - 12th
All art work to be submitted in a READY TO DISPLAY FORMAT with the following listed on front:
Student's Name, Age, Grade, School's Name, School District and City
All art work and awards will be given to your area representative at the end of the conference to return. Or a designee from your school site can collect the art work at the end of the conference to take back to your school site/program. CAL-ED is NOT responsible for lost or damaged art work and will not be responsible for mailing art work back to school sites. All art gallery award recipients will be listed on the CAL-ED website.
Only one entry per student for each category, literature, photography (grades 7-12 only), and visual arts.
All art work must be received by February 22th, 2013. Please mail all art work to the address listed on the flyer.
