    Please join California Educators of the Deaf from September 30 - October 2, 2022, as we host the 62nd annual CAL-ED conference in Burbank, California. This year’s theme is Full STEAM Ahead! We invite you to be a part of the amazing future of Deaf Education, filled with new frontiers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. As a member of this organization, you will be integral to our Deaf students’ access and accomplishments in STEAM majors and professions while your unwavering support of the whole child ensures that we invariably center Social Justice and Social-Emotional Wellness to that end. Your attendance and participation this year are essential in supporting Deaf students and families in California and across the nation. After three long years, this conference presents an opportunity for us to meet at this critical juncture where our collective knowledge, wisdom, resources, and love for our Deaf students will be spotlighted, shared, and realized in multiple forums. We are honored to host an incredible lineup of stakeholders from the Deaf Education community, including inspirational keynote speakers, wise and knowledgeable student and parent panels, and highly trained workshop presenters. Join us as we collaborate with our colleagues to lift, educate, nurture, and heal all of our Deaf students and support them on their educational journeys in these unprecedented times.

    The California Educators of the Deaf (Cal-ED) is hosting its annual conference in Burbank, California September 30-October 2, 2022. This year’s theme is Full STEAM Ahead!  As we embark on this amazing future filled with new possibilities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics it is critical that we continue to view each through the lens of Social Justice. Your contribution to this year’s conference is essential in supporting Deaf Education in California, as well as across the nation, as we collaborate with our colleagues to lift, educate, nurture, and heal all of our Deaf students as they move forward on their educational journeys in unprecedented times.

    We appreciate the opportunity to come together every year to collaborate, and more so than ever following the school closures due to Covid-19. We look forward to gathering and collectively building the future we know our Deaf students deserve. It is with this common goal that we will meet with about 300 educators, administrators, paraprofessionals, service providers, interpreters and families to network, share experiences, teach and learn new strategies, and build our capacity to navigate the every-changing needs of our Deaf students, while supporting and recognizing the hard working individuals that tirelessly contribute to the field of Deaf Education.

    The Deaf Ecosystem Day exhibition center, will take place on October 1 & 2, 2022, at the Marriott Los Angeles Burbank Airport Hotel in Burbank, CA. The exhibition center will be available for the attendees on that day to coincide with the meeting sessions of the Cal-Ed Conference.

    What is the Deaf Ecosystem Day exhibition? It is the flow of Deaf-owned businesses, professionals, organizations, schools, and resources within the Deaf community. They contribute to our community to create positive opportunities, increase choices, encourage collaboration, foster connection, create healthy Deaf identities, and have resourceful organizations and services available for the Deaf. You will have an opportunity to showcase your products and services.

    To secure your booth space at the 2022 Cal-ED Conference and company/organization listing in the program book, please submit the registration and pay for your booth reservation no later than August 26, 2022.
